1. Who publishes this site

This site is published by an individual, Oliver Hayes. ZoneAngle is a personal editorial project about free candy match-3 games on Android, not a business entity; everything here is written by the publisher personally.

2. The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in Schedule 1 to that Act govern how personal information is handled in Australia. Section 6D exempts small business operators below the statutory turnover threshold, and this site sits inside that exemption.

The publisher nevertheless applies the APPs voluntarily to everything described here, and will handle an access or correction request, or a complaint, as though the Act applied in full.

3. What this site does not do

Several usual privacy questions have a short answer, because the site does not do the thing asked about:

• There is no contact form, sign-up field or comment box: nothing can be typed into these pages and sent from them.
• The site never asks permission to send browser notifications, and none are sent.
• The publisher installs no analytics package, no tag manager and no counter of its own, and this site sets no cookies; the one measurement script that loads is inserted by Cloudflare as the delivery network (sections 4 and 6).
• No profile of a reader is built, by the publisher or by that script, and no automated decision-making takes place.
• Personal information is never sold, rented or disclosed to anyone for marketing purposes.

4. What is held, why, and for how long

Personal information reaches the publisher in a few narrow ways:

Technical request data covers the requested address, the referring address, the browser and device type, Core Web Vitals timings and the country derived from the network address. It is gathered without a cookie and without a visitor identifier, so individual readers are not identified or followed between sites, and the publisher receives no visitor list tied to a person.

5. Angle Dispatch and the Spam Act 2003

Angle Dispatch is the paid email subscription described on the front page: A$0.99 per month, starting only when someone writes in and asks for it, as the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) expects commercial electronic messages to begin.

• Consent. A subscription starts only after you have written in and confirmed in a second reply; no address is ever added from a list or a third party.
• Identification. Every dispatch names Oliver Hayes as the sender and carries the postal address and telephone number in section 1.
• Unsubscribe. Every dispatch carries a working instruction: reply with the word Stop. The address is removed within five business days at no cost, and consent may be revoked the same way at any time.

6. Who else handles this information

The publisher uses a small number of service providers:

• Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States — content delivery, transport encryption, protection against abusive traffic and page measurement. Cloudflare inserts its own Cloudflare Web Analytics script into every page as it is served; it is not in the files of this site and the publisher cannot remove it by editing a page. Through it Cloudflare receives the technical request data in section 4, without a cookie and without an identifier for the reader. The publisher sees aggregate figures only, never a visitor-level report, and cannot connect them to a person.
• The hosting provider engaged by the publisher, whose servers are in Europe. It stores the files that make up these pages and the server-side access records generated by delivering them.
• The email provider that carries the editorial mailbox, which stores and delivers the correspondence described in section 4.
• The payment provider used for Angle Dispatch, which processes the subscription charge under its own privacy terms and passes on only the transaction record above.

No other party receives personal information, except where Australian law, a court or a regulator requires disclosure.

7. Sending information outside Australia (APP 8)

Because the providers listed above sit outside Australia, information connected with a visit is handled overseas: the technical request data and the Cloudflare Web Analytics measurement by Cloudflare, Inc. in the United States, the site files and server records in Europe. That is a cross-border disclosure under APP 8.

The publisher has taken the steps reasonable in the circumstances under APP 8.1: each provider’s published privacy commitments and data-processing terms were checked before it was engaged. Even so, the publisher cannot guarantee that an overseas recipient will observe the APPs in full: once information is held abroad, Australian law may not be enforceable in the same way, and a lawful demand by a foreign authority sits outside the publisher’s control.

8. Keeping information safe

The site is static files with no database, no login and no public administrative panel. Everything is served over an encrypted connection, and the editorial mailbox has a long unique passphrase and two-step verification.

A breach likely to cause serious harm would be notified to the people affected and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

9. Your rights and how to use them

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may:

• ask whether any personal information about you is held, and ask for access to it (APP 12);
• ask for information that is inaccurate, out of date or misleading to be corrected (APP 13);
• ask for information to be deleted where it is no longer needed;
• revoke consent for the Angle Dispatch subscription at any time;
• deal with the publisher anonymously or under a pseudonym for general correspondence (APP 2).

Write to editorial@zoneangle.com and say what you want. A response follows within 30 days, usually sooner, and requests are free. A request about a subscription may need confirming from the address it runs on.

10. Complaints and the OAIC

If you think your personal information has been mishandled, raise it with the publisher first; a written answer follows within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

The OAIC normally expects the matter to be raised with the publisher first, with 30 days allowed for an answer.

11. Age of readers

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. The publisher does not knowingly handle personal information about anyone under 15; anything received about a person under 15 is deleted promptly.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site changes; the current version always sits at this address with its effective date near the top. A material change is flagged at the top of this page for at least 60 days.

13. Effective date

This privacy policy takes effect on 2 September 2026 and replaces any earlier one.
